Last night I laid down to sleep tired at 830PM and felt Sunny next to me, feeling his face rubbing up to be petted.. I wondered if he was saying goodbye?
I just talked to the vet and Sunny is in Kidney Failure again. He will be put on IV then come home in a few days and I have to give him IV shots a few times a week. Now this vet says he has seen cats last up to a year. Tears are falling from my eyes. I have to call back Friday and see how long he is going to be around depending if we can keep him eating right and how he does.
So he is eating some and getting ready to be shaved again. Hair that finally came back in will be gone. He will get to come home in a few days. My heart is aching and I know it is only a cat but he is like my child to me..I can't believe this is happened and happened again. I know he is going through hell with his body for a second time. Dang it.
What is hardest is to know my cat's time is limited and when I let him go putting him to sleep verses going through hardship on his body. At least this time he is skin and bones like the last time but his creatine levels are high like the last time and will be brought down by IV's . He bullted from the couch and to the furniture and down to other cubby holes. He body was turning on him, shutting down and he was going through hell in the inside.
Whether it is Sunny or a human being to know and see them suffering is so hard on them and the people they know. The only thing we can do is to comfort them, help them and pray for a miracle for them.
See how he does with the iv's and food take it from there and talk to regular vet on Friday on his opinion...
